Transport from Cluj Airport
Options applicable to Iuliu Maniu 24 and Constantin Daicoviciu 7.
The most convenient method is by public transport.
Electric bus
- Bus stop location: exit the airport and turn right, the stop is directly in front of the airport building.
- Ticket price: RON 6 (EUR 1.2). Purchase your ticket on the bus with a contactless card, Apple Watch, iPhone and similar. No physical ticket is issued, only a confirmation on the screen.
- Destination Iuliu Maniu 24: get off at Sora Center, cross the street and walk for 3 minutes. Route on Google Maps.
- Destination Constantin Daicoviciu 7: get off at Central on Strada Regele Ferdinand, cross the street and walk for 3 minutes. Route on Google Maps.
Trolleybus No. 5
- Bus stop location: exit the airport gate and barriers, turn right, walk 50 metres on the main road.
- Ticket price: RON 3 (EUR 0.6). Purchase on the bus with a contactless card, Apple Watch, iPhone and similar. No physical ticket is issued, only a confirmation on the screen.
- Destination: same as above.
Taxi
- Use Uber or Bolt, or Clima Taxi on +40 (264) 943 and Napoca Taxi on +40 (264) 953. Exit the airport and walk 50 metres to the main road to order a ride. If you take a regular taxi from in front of the terminal, please do not use "Active" taxi.

Cluj to Salina Turda
Transport to Turda
- Take a Cento Trans bus from Cluj-Napoca to Turda. Timetable.
- Departure point: Piața Mihai Viteazu in Cluj-Napoca. Map.
- Ticket price: 16 lei (approx. EUR 3.25) one way.
- Buses run frequently through the day (06:30, 07:15, 07:55, 08:55, 09:55 and so on).
- Journey time: 40 to 45 minutes.
Getting to Salina Turda
When you arrive in Turda, please ask the driver where to get off, just in case. Options to reach Salina Turda from the bus stop:
- Take a taxi to Salina Turda (approx. 15 lei / EUR 3.00).
- Walk to the old entrance (about 15 to 20 minutes on foot).
Important tips
- Get a taxi company phone number for your return journey.
- The temperature inside is 15°C, so bring a light jacket.
- The salt mine has facilities including bathrooms, a shop and a small café.
- Entry to the mine involves a 1 km tunnel walk, so wear comfortable shoes.
Return to Cluj-Napoca
- Return buses depart from the same location where you were dropped off (opposite side of the road).
- Check the return bus schedule from the timetable above or at the bus stop.
- If taking a taxi back to the bus stop, call the taxi company number you obtained earlier.

- A small amount of cash for transport, food and souvenirs, in case some places are cash only.
